A gentle wellness practice

What IsReiki?

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive complementary wellness practice that originated in Japan.

During a Reiki session, the practitioner uses a series of intentional hand positions, with the hands held just above the body. The practice is centered around creating a quiet space for relaxation, reflection, and connection with oneself.

At Gentle Life Support, Reiki isn't presented as a replacement for medical care or as a treatment for a medical condition. Instead, it is offered as a supportive wellness experience—a time to slow down, become still, and reconnect with yourself.

Your session may be quiet and deeply relaxing, or you may simply notice yourself becoming more present and aware. There is no particular experience you are supposed to have.

What Happens During a Reiki Session?

You remain fully clothed and comfortably positioned throughout your session. Depending on the service you choose, Reiki may be paired with sound healing using tuning forks and/or singing bowls to create a calming sensory experience.

At Gentle Life Support, your comfort and boundaries come first. Touch is never required. Your practitioner will explain the session beforehand and honor your preferences throughout your experience.

This is your time to pause. To breathe. To be still. To reconnect.
